Becovillage have developed a ultra-efficient solar panel SolarDuo® that takes the heat generated by the solar panels and use it to power a solar thermal system. These dual solar modules are three times more efficient than any other solar system.
Usual photovoltaic systems generate electrical energy from the sun, while usual solar thermal systems takes heat from the sun to heat water or heating systems, for consumption within a home.
Meldynique has developed a solar module , SolarDuo® that uses both systems into one, since photovoltaic systems release excess heat that isn’t used and work better when cooled.
Apart from taking waste heat and using if efficiently, this SolarDuo® combination also has an extra benefit of making the solar panel cooler, which in turn makes it more efficient, thus generating more energy.
Becovillage is the latest company to commercialize solar combined technology, and is the first to really consider deploying a system for residential and industrial solar use also combine it with energy efficient housing technology for net zero energy homes and buildings. The SolarDuo® system is also used in greenhouses for energy efficient farming.
SolarDuo® systems can be adapted with heat storage and geothermal for night time heat in industrial applications on demand.
Usual PV modules draw energy only from a narrow spectrum of the sun's energy to create electricity. The remaining energy, which is mostly heat, remains unused. The simple idea behind SolarDuo® is to capture a much wider spectrum of the sun's energy to generate both electricity and heat while using same or less space as usual systems.

Becovillage´s SolarDuo® uses two advanced Technologies, one captures the heated air from underneath the solar panels. That hot air is used to heat your home and water and the second uses classic thermal Solar fluid that captures the heat for the same. SolarDuo® modules take the usual average 15 to 18% efficiency and turns it into 50% to 60% efficiency or even higher depending on local weather.
